Home Remedies to Control Loose Motion

Loose motion, Dysentery or diarrhea can be defined as the frequent passage of stools which are loose and watery. Watery bowel activities might be common and usually not serious. It may leads to loss of water and minerals from the body.  People may have diarrhea or loose motion once or twice every year.
Loss of water from the body can leads to dehydration. It also results in weakness, loss of hunger; stomach pain etc. Dysentery can usually takes 2-3 days to recover and can be treated with home remedies or other medicines. When diarrhea occurs due to irritable bowel syndrome or chronic disease of the large intestine, in such cases medical treatment is the best option.

Causes of Loose Motion

There may be many reasons for loose motions. The important one are
•    Food poisoning or bacterial infection. 
•    Parasites Infection by other organisms. 
•    Eating of Allergic food that distress the digestive system.
•    Crohn’s Diseases and, ulcerative colitis and cancers.
•    Medications, Overeating.
•    Certain medication.
•    Alcohol abuse.
•    Stress or anxiety.

Home Remedies to control Loose Motions

Following are some home remedies using that you can control loose motion or loose stools.

Mustard Seeds:

Mustard seed contains antibacterial properties which gives effective treatment in loose motions.
  • Take ¼ teaspoon of mustard seeds and add them to tablespoon of water. Keep this for one hour and then drink this water. 
  • Take this water two to three times daily still you get relief.

Lemonade:

Lemon juice is anti inflammatory, so it easily cleans the stomach. It is proved remedy in loose motions since long.
  • Extract the full Lemon juice. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of sugar to it. Mix it well.
  • Consume this lemonade at interval of one hour till you feel the toxins are flushed out. Use this for three days for better results. 
  • During this period consume just soup or liquid food. Within 4-5 days get back to your normal diet.

PomegranateHome-Remedies-to-Control-Loose-Motion

Pomegranate is a fruit that will help in reducing the loose motion problems that you are suffering from effectively.
  • Eating the pomegranate seeds will control the loose motion problem.
  • You have to eat two normal size fruits daily to control loose motions.
  • You can drink a glass of pomegranate juice at least three times a day to see effective results.

Bananas: 

Consuming bananas with a little curd is the most traditional home remedy to control the loose motions and this works wonderfully.

Methi or Fenugreek Seeds

  • Having antibacterial and antifungal properties Fenugreek is an excellent home remedy to control loose motions.
  • Take one to two teaspoons of dried fenugreek seeds and powder it, mix this powder in a glass of water and take it in the morning on an empty stomach for two to three days to completely get relief from loose motions.

Honey

Honey is wonderful natural medicines which cure a lot of health problems and which is very effective in controlling loose motions also.
  • Take a teaspoon of pure honey. Add ½ a teaspoon of cinnamon powder in it and mix all in a glass of warm water.
  • Drink this water in the morning on empty stomach. Repeat this at least two times daily to cure your stomach infection. You will get results in just two days.

Buttermilk    Butter Milk with Mint

  • Buttermilk is a fine health drink and very effective in soothing the digestive system to bring back on track.
  • The acidic nature of buttermilk fights bacteria and germs in the digestive system.
  • Add a teaspoon of salt a pinch of black pepper powder or Jeera powder or turmeric powder in Butter milk, mix it well.
  • Drink this buttermilk two to three times a daily to control loose motions.

Prepare a Healthy Drink

  • A drink made by mixing turmeric powder, curry leaves and salt in the water is a very effective treatment in controlling loose motion.
  • Take two tablespoons of curd, ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder, a pinch of asafetida [Gum], curry leaves, salt and boil these in water.
  • Just at water reaches the boiling point. Drain the water and cool it.
  • Drink these two times daily for three days to control loose motion problems.

Mint And Honey        Honey Mint Lemonade

  • Mint leaves are also good in to treat loose motions or diarrhea.
  • It helps in quick digestion and contains antibacterial properties. It can be consumed in any form.
  • Just chew one or two mint leaves daily after meals to help in the digestion process.
  • This will also prevent you from distress loose motions.
  • Extract a teaspoon of mint leaf juice add a teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of lime juice. Mix them and consume.
  • Take this mixture twice daily for two to three days to control loose motions.

Avoid Milk Products

It is very important you should totally avoid milk and milk products for at least three to four days until to fully recover from the loose motion. During this period intestine is not capable to digest milk and milk products, consuming them will lead to increase in loose motion.

Coconut Milk: 


Coconut milk is the richest sources of tissue-nourishing, plant derivatives. Grind the coconut and squeeze it to get the juice. Massaging coconut milk (juice) on the scalp can help in the treatment of hair loss.
Coconut oil also helps in controlling hail loss. Regular massaging the scalp for a few minutes with warm oil will lead to stimulation of blood flow to the scalp.
Other suggested oils are: Jojoba oil, almond oil, mustard oil, lavender oil. Jojoba oil is particularly good because it replaces the sebum in the scalp and control dandruff.

Neem:

Neem is the most useful herbs that has many benefits, both health and beauty. It has some very useful hair benefits too. Boil neem leaves in water until the water level reduces to half of its initial quantity. Clean your hair with this mixture once in a week. 

Amla: 

Add dry Amala (Indian Grossberry) in coconut oil and boil it upto oil turns in black color. Massage scalp with this oil. This is effective and easy available home remedy to prevent the hair loss.
Filled with vitamin C and antioxidants, Amla is the ideal resolution to prevent most hair loss woes. Apart from applying to the scalp, amala can be consumed regularly for a Good health.
Take amla and shikakai powder Mix them and make a paste. Apply this paste to your hair, after few minutes wash it.

Eggs

Egg is rich source of sulphur; they contain protein and minerals like selenium, iodine, phosphorus, iron and zinc. This is excellent promoter of hair regrowth especially when combined with olive oil.
Take the white of one egg and mix in a teaspoon of olive oil. Strike to get a paste and apply to the scalp and hair. Keep it for 15 to 20 minutes and then clean with cool water and a mild shampoo. 

Curry leaves tea for beautiful hair


Drinking curry leaves tea will preserve the natural color of hair. Boil a few Curry Leaves in water, pinch a lime and add a little sugar (or honey) to it. Drink this tea continuously for 1 week. Uses of Ginger


Turmeric and ginger are botanically related to each other and have both been used for centuries as spices in cooking and as medicinal herbs. These herbs are recommended for treating gastrointestinal problems, inflammatory conditions and several other conditions. I’ve written in the past about how inflammation is created in the body and about the damage it causes, and you can read more about it here. Ginger and turmeric are two of the best herbs to relieve joint pain and are mentioned in my article about the best herbs to relieve joint pain.
The strong anti-inflammatory properties of ginger are excellent for dealing with muscle and arthritic pain. Ginger contains powerful anti-inflammatory substances called gingerols. These have been tested in various research of rheumatic diseases such as osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. The participants in the research reported a gradual reduction of pain, improving agility and movement and reduction in swelling when using ginger regularly. The anti-inflammatory properties of ginger also promote digestion and soothes colic, relieve nausea and intestinal gas, and also as a treatment for colds and other respiratory conditions. Studies have shown that turmeric is more effective at easing pain than aspirin and other similar chemical medications. It is a great help in the relieving of chronic arthritis and joint pain, as well as relieve symptoms of ulcerative colitis and osteoarthritis, which are two other inflammatory conditions. One of the active ingredients in turmeric is called curcumin, and is used in traditional Chinese medicine and Indian ayurvedic medicine to treat arthritis. Anti-Inflammatory Ginger Turmeric Tea Recipe

For 1 cup of water use 1 teaspoon each of fresh grated turmeric and ginger roots. If you use ground turmeric and ginger, use 1/3 teaspoon each.
Add raw honey to taste, and a slice of lemon if you want.
Preparation
In a small saucepan, bring water to boil. Add fresh grated turmeric and ginger, reduce heat, and simmer for 15-20 minutes. If using ground turmeric and ginger, boil for 10 minutes. Then strain the tea and add the honey and lemon to taste.
How much and how often
There are no official dosing instructions exist for ginger and turmeric tea. You can drink 1 cup of it on days you feel extra achy.
Side effects
Although these herbs are considered safe and without significant side effects when used appropriately by adults, each may interact with certain prescription medications. For example both may not be safe if you have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning drugs. Therefore talk with your doctor before deciding if one or both herbs might be useful for your situation. Also taking these herbs by mouth in medicinal amounts is likely unsafe in pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Playing football beneficial for diabetes patients

Washington: New studies suggest that football training produces significant changes in body composition and glycaemic control in type 2 diabetes patients, and effectively lowers blood pressure in men with high blood pressure.

The studies were carried out by the Copenhagen Centre for Team Sport and Health at the University of Copenhagen.
The studies show that 24 weeks of twice-weekly recreational football training sessions lower blood pressure and improves heart function in men with high blood pressure and men with type 2 diabetes.
Furthermore, men with type 2 diabetes lost 12 percent of their abdominal fat and reduced their blood sugar 20 percent more than inactive control subjects.
These effects are likely to reduce the risk of developing heart diseases including heart failure and myocardial infarction, and the participants had a reduced need for antidiabetic and antihypertensive medication on completion of the studies.

The projects investigated the effects of football training in 21 men with type 2 diabetes and 32 men with high blood pressure aged 30?60 years with focus on metabolic and cardiovascular changes.
Football training increases heart rate and improves general health
"I feel I have more energy in my day-to-day life, and it's definitely connected with being fitter," says Soren Sonberg with type 2 diabetes, who participated in one of the projects.
"The average heart rate during training was higher than 80 percent of maximum heart rate, and for significant periods it was higher than 90 percent. This type of training is very effective, and after 24 weeks of training physical fitness, measured as maximal oxygen uptake, was 10 percent higher for the participants with high blood pressure and 12 percent higher for those with diabetes. At the same time, the diabetes patients lost almost 2 kg of fat. A better fitness combined with a lower body fat percentage makes it easier to carry out daily activities," Professor Jens Bangsbo, leader of the projects, said.
"We found that football training in men with type 2 diabetes significantly reduced abdominal fat and improved glycaemic control, which is essential for managing diabetes and preventing diabetic complications,"
